Back when I owned it (I sold the car in January of 2009, about a year ago) I remember seeing something really odd on the Nav disk (not an upgraded disk- the original one that came with the unit purchased in 2005). I really enjioyed the Nav, the sound and the factory-looking installation of the unit, but my wife and I were having a baby, and I was forced to sell the car in order to purchase something a little larger. I used to own a 2004 WRX Wagon, and I purchased and installed an Eclipse AVN 5435 for the car. This is going to sound a little strange, but please hear me out: Disc name "MDV-09D"īut when I put the disc to AVN5435 it did not work and the screen stuck on "Check map disc"

today i made a nice little video of me using my avn unit with the disk i made myself. Be sure to remove your image disc before turning your AVN unit off. The screen will change to confirm your selection. Simply touch the name of the image you want to use as your Welcome screen. The names of the images you burned to the disc should now be visible in a list. DO NOT turn off the ignition key or power down your AVN unit during this time.Ī screen will come up saying “Opening Image Change” – touch that button. It will only take a few seconds to read the image data.
